SERVE

Your life is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to Him. At Chapel Pointe, we take seriously God’s command for all of us who are called Christ-followers to be engaged in some area of service to help others and make Kingdom-impacts. We cannot be “The Church” without you!

1 Peter 4:10 is very clear –

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

So, our question to you, “What does your gift to God look like?”

If you need help figuring out ways that you can give back to God, check out these opportunities below and become involved in the life-changing, cultural-revolutionizing thing called the church!

Steps to help you discover your fit...

We want you serving in the place that best matches the passions, gifts, and abilities God has given you.  Here are some steps to help you find the best fit:

1. Seek.
(take some time to look through our ministry opportunities)

2. Pray.
(ask God for guidance in finding the right fit)

3. Try.
(contact the ministry leader to set up a First Serve opportunity)

4. Reflect.
(use our reflection/debrief questions to reflect on your experience and whether it was a good fit)

5. Repeat if necessary.
(you may need to try a few things before you find a good fit)

6.  Commit.
(after you find the ministry that's right for you make a commitment to serve for the designated length of time)

Having a hard time finding your fit?  We are here to help you in your journey.  Send us an email and let us know your passions, gifts, and abilities so we can help you find/create the service opportunity that best fits you!

Featured Service Opportunities
Childcare Workers for MOPS - Tuesday, August 16, 2011

MOPS helps mothers of young children (newborn through kindergarten) experience authentic community and God’s love through relationships and resources.

Childcare workers are needed on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month from 8:45 - 11:30 am, starting September 13. We are looking for workers who can commit to one or two Tuesdays a month. You can choose to commit for the first semester (Sept - Dec 20) or the entire year (Sept - May). There are paid positions available, in addition to our need for volunteer help.

Another option would be to allow your name to be on my list of "on call" people. Those people would possibly be called the night before if we were short volunteers due to vacations, illness or any other unexpected vacancies.

Please consider making a difference in the lives of young mothers and children by helping with Chapel Pointe MOPS!  Contact Megan at ChapelPointeMOPS@gmail.com, or the church office at 616-662-8801 for more information on how to get involved.
