Campus Care/Facilities Operations

Do you enjoy working outside?

Do you find satisfaction from making spaces look more cleanly and visually appealing?

Do you want to be part of creating a visually aesthetic atmosphere that helps create an attitude of worship for those that come on the Chapel Pointe grounds?

If you resonate with any of the above questions, then Campus Care/Facilities Operations may be the area of service for you!  See below for some service opportunities.  If you have a specific skill or trade (electrical, heating & cooling, A/V expertise, graphic design, plumbing, mechanical, etc) that can be useul in maintaing/enhancing our facilities, please contact the church office and let us know!

Properties (Outdoors)

Each Sunday hundreds of regular attenders and guests pass through our grounds as they enter to worship.  Whether they may realize it or not, the orderly, well-maintained, visually appealing grounds help to alleviate stress and establish an attitude of worship.  God is the creator of beauty and we worship Him by creating and maintaining beauty.  A littered, unkept property would paint an entirely different picture of God.  Throughout the week we are also able to give witness and display God's beauty as many people from the community enjoy rollerblading, biking, and walking through the parking lot on our grounds.  If you desire to be part of creating and maintaining visually aesthetic grounds for our church and community to enjoy, please consider becoming a part of our Properties Team.  Opportunities to serve include:

  • Weeding the bark around the building, in the islands, and around the sign at least once a month.
  • Mowing the grass between the curb and the building for the months of August, September and October.  You must be an adult and have experience with powered lawn tractors.  This needs to be done weekly on either a Friday or Saturday.
  • Help picking up trash around the property.  Mainly this amounts to papers, cups, and bottles on the campus to include around the ball field and along Baldwin.  This should be done weekly and can be done in less than 30 minutes.

Properties (Indoors)

The worship experience continues as people enter our facilities and maintaining a well-kept, cleanly interior also gives glory to God and helps people best be able to worship.  There is a lot of work done weekly by our faithful custodian to maintain a clean, orderly facility.  With the amount of activity that generally happens during a typical week at Chapel Pointe it can sometimes be a lot of work for just one person to handle alone.  If you enjoy cleaning and helping to maintain a well-kept facility others can enjoy, please consider "donating" an hour or two on a weekly or monthly basis serving indoors.  Opportunities may include:

  • Washing windows
  • Vacuuming
  • Detail cleaning
  • Setting up rooms for ministry use
  • Repairing damaged property
  • Etc
