Hospitality Ministries

Do you enjoy being around people or serving others?

Do others consider you friendly and outgoing?

Are you easily able to strike up conversation and make others feel welcome?

Do you enjoy entertaining or cooking for others?

If any of those above statements describe you we may have a perfect service opportunity with one of our Hospitality Ministries.

 

Welcome Team

First time guests receive their first impression of the church upon walking through our doors.  Many people make the decision whether to continue coming or look elsewhere not based on the sermon, but on the welcome they receive.  Our Welcome Team does a great job of creating a warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back!  Both regular attenders and first time guests are blessed and better able to enter the worship service after a friendly welcome, word of encouragement, or someone taking the time to ask about their week.  If you have a friendly, outgoing personality and desire to help others feel welcome and cared for, the Welcome Team is an excellent serving opportunity!  Responsibilities may include:

  • Greeting people that come through our doors and make them feel welcome
  • Pass out programs
  • Help collect the offering
  • Staff the Welcome Center to answer questions and give directions

Feed the Flock

We have all been blessed with the ability to enjoy food.  Some have been blessed with the ability to create food others actually enjoy eating.  And they love doing it.  They receive satisfaction from cooking or baking and knowing others are benefiting from their efforts.  If that is you, then you may find your niche with our Feed the Flock ministry.  This ministry is designed to reach out to families in times of need by providing meals.  When a situation arises such as birth of a new baby, sickness, or surgery, where a parent is temporarily unable to prepare meals, Feed the Flock volunteers step in to provide meals until the help is no longer necessary.
