Chapel Pointe is on mission and we are inviting you to join us!

From Boston to Brazil to Romania, we are sending teams to share the Gospel throughout the world. We want to deepen relationships with current Chapel Pointe missionaries and partners, engage with God’s presence in a different cultural setting, and participate in events to make disciples and multiply transformed followers of Jesus.

Come back each month for updated prayers and praises from our missions partners!

Nancy Berends | Serving in Togo, West Africa

Nancy Berends | Serving primarily in Togo, West Africa, based in West Michigan

Praises

  • After nearly three years of work, the project to connect lab equipment directly to the hospital software in Togo has been successfully implemented! Lab results now auto-import instead of being typed manually, and both doctors and patients have already noticed shorter wait times.

  • God continues to bring people to Himself through the healthcare ministries — in hospitals, mobile teams, and small clinics.

  • I’m deeply thankful for co-workers who faithfully share the Good News even as they meet people’s physical needs.

Prayers

  • Pray for God to provide a new medical director, as the physician who was to begin orientation in November has withdrawn.

  • Pray for one of our physicians who is struggling to raise financial support, that God would meet her needs abundantly.

  • Pray for God to send more laborers into His harvest fields, especially where the need is great and the harvest is ripe.

  • We had a busy and encouraging month visiting supporting churches and sharing how God has been faithful during our time in PNG.

  • Two of our children were recently enrolled in speech therapy while we’re home — an answered prayer and one of our main concerns for this furlough.

Prayers

  • One of the families on our church planting team has decided to leave. Please pray for us and our remaining teammates as we discern next steps.

  • Pray that God would quickly provide another family to join our team.

Dave & Jan Santos | Serving in São Paulo, Brazil

Praises

  • The Castro Alves men’s group is growing both in number and in depth! The men are spending more time together outside the church walls, which is super healthy for them.

  • We’ve already received three generous gifts for the BMMB MK Retreat!

  • Our church members are preparing a Christmas cantata with their own director for the first time ever! It’s not always easy to let a ministry go, but it’s our goal — and we’re so proud of them.

Prayers

  • Pray for a smooth trip back home on October 15.

  • Pray for Caitlyn’s delivery of our 6th grandchild on October 1 or 2, and for her husband to find a new job.

  • Pray for the Castro Alves Children’s Day outreach event on October 4.

  • Pray for Dave as he translates for a retired police officer from Texas who will be speaking to police and firefighters in São Paulo shortly after our return.

  • Pray for the first-ever BMM Brazil MK Retreat (October 27–November 2). These 12 MKs only see each other once a year — we’re asking God to make it an epic and life-changing time! BMM’s Member Care specialists are flying down to be part of it, and we know God will do great things.
