In 2019, Chad was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. After the diagnosis, Chad began pursuing God through prayer and eventually returned to church with his family—ultimately having an encounter with God that led him to give his life to Jesus.
