Pray for Our Missionary Partners

Come back each month for updated prayers and praises from our missions partners!

Nancy Berends | Serving primarily in Togo, West Africa, based in West Michigan

Praises

  • I had a meeting last week that I had really been almost dreading. I had asked God for wisdom and to help me be gracious. He answered that prayer, and the meeting went better than I expected.

  • I had a very large project that I needed to finish. God helped me push through to the finish last week.

  • A survey trip to Thailand at the end of March-early April was very fruitful. We will begin sending medical teams to work with a new tribal group in northern Thailand. The first trip will go in October 2026.

Prayers

  • Pray that God would send us six to ten more providers who will help us engage with our medical evangelism teams. (We need a couple of docs, nurse practitioners, and/or Physician Assistants.) We could send more out if we had more providers.

  • Pray for wisdom in planning my fall travel schedule.

  • Pray for sensitivity and boldness as I engage with some of my neighbors who need Jesus!

The Caudill Family | Director of Live Global, based in Pennsylvania

Updated June 2026

Praises

  • Praise God, Andrew’s role as speaker at a family camp Memorial Day weekend went well, and he got lots of positive feedback. I (Taylor) heard people say he was the best speaker they’ve had in a while!

Prayer Requests

  • June is an intense month for us! We will be hosting 6 college-age missionary kids who are coming to town to spend their summer at our mission headquarters serving and caring for other MKs. Pray we can be a help and encouragement to them as we build relationships and serve with them.

  • For one week in June, we will host 13 high school MKs, along with the college students, for a retreat focused on counseling and discipleship for all of them. We are praying for safety, good weather, logistics, wisdom for Andrew as he leads this, and good conversations and teaching. All of this comes from the Lord!

  • Pray for us to have wisdom about where to travel in the next 10 months or so. The opportunities/possibilities/requests could exceed our capacity!
  • Pray for my (Taylor’s) unbelieving family in West Michigan. Praise God, we had a great conversation when we were there in May, and are praying for God to work.

Saeed and Saida | Northern Caucasus of Central Asia.

Praises

  • We thank the Lord for our church and our ministry. The Lord is blessing our church and our ministry.

  • We thank the Lord for the new friends we’ve recently met and to whom we’ve shared the Gospel.

  • We thank the Lord for those close friends who have come to believe in Jesus and want to be baptized. They plan to be baptized in the near future.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for the people to whom we are sharing the Gospel, that the Lord may touch their hearts and they may become disciples of Jesus.

  • Please pray for the workshop taking place next month, that the Lord would bless the translation of the New Testament.

  • Please pray for a new place. The apartment we live in is small, and we need a new place. We also need a space where we can freely hold worship services.

The Sanford Family | Serving in Papua New Guinea

Updated June 2026

Praises:

  • Our kids are excited to return to PNG

  • We were able to make it to Pennsylvania in May for one last trip to see Ricky’s family before being separated again for many years.

  • It seems likely that we will be able to return to the same house we previously lived in in PNG. It can be a blessing to go back to the familiar, especially for the kids.

Prayer Requests:

  • We are feeling a little stretched thin as we prepare to go back. There is much to do in our last few weeks.

  • We are becoming somewhat discouraged with trying to find a third family to join our church-planting team. Pray that the Lord burdens someone’s heart for the Gende people.

  • This furlough we didn’t recoup any of the personal funds we poured into house building materials last term. This leaves me wrestling in the tensions of stressed about savings, but recognizing God has always faithfully provided for our needs.

Dave & Jan Santos | Serving in São Paulo, Brazil

Updated June 2026

Praises

  • God provided us with the help and energy we needed to host the Connecticut team well. We dropped them off at the airport last night after they shared, and their pastor preached at a church that’s on the way!

  • The team did an amazing job at our VBS, and we had over 75 different children attend and hear the Gospel.

  • The Lord provided for us to purchase a large, industrial refrigerator for the retreat center!

Prayer Requests

  • As we prepare for our annual trip to the US. The adjustments, logistics, travels, and many different ministries, etc., can feel overwhelming if we let them. We want to be “all there”, but we also want to be “all here”! 8 months in Brazil and 4 months in the US is challenging and at times, frustrating.

  • For Dave’s next meeting on real manhood with the teen boys.

  • For Marcelo and Elines as they navigate challenging waters in their new marriage, find the right ministries to join, and Marcelo finishes up seminary.

  • Kiera’s appointment to set up her spinal fusion surgery was frustratingly postponed until July. Please pray for the timing of this.

  • Ella is in Ecuador for two months this summer for a combined internship and mission experience.
