Pray for Our Missionary Partners

Come back each month for updated prayers and praises from our missions partners!

Nancy Berends | Serving in Togo, West Africa

Nancy Berends | Serving primarily in Togo, West Africa, based in West Michigan

Praises

  • After nearly three years of work, the project to connect lab equipment directly to the hospital software in Togo has been successfully implemented! Lab results now auto-import instead of being typed manually, and both doctors and patients have already noticed shorter wait times.

  • God continues to bring people to Himself through the healthcare ministries — in hospitals, mobile teams, and small clinics.

  • I’m deeply thankful for co-workers who faithfully share the Good News even as they meet people’s physical needs.

Prayers

  • Pray for God to provide a new medical director, as the physician who was to begin orientation in November has withdrawn.

  • Pray for one of our physicians who is struggling to raise financial support, that God would meet her needs abundantly.

  • Pray for God to send more laborers into His harvest fields, especially where the need is great and the harvest is ripe.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for our loved ones and new friends with whom we are sharing the Gospel—that they would become disciples of Jesus Christ.

  • Pray for the translation of the New Testament. We have a translation workshop in two weeks and need prayer for wisdom and fruitfulness.

Praises:

  • Our two younger kids are progressing well in speech therapy. We have been encouraged by their progress this furlough.

  • God has been kind and stepping into our lives in encouraging ways when discouraging things happen.

Prayer Requests:

  • We are prepping to speak at a couple of missions conferences. Pray that God would give wisdom in our prep and impact for His glory and purposes through the messages.

  • Continue to lift our teammates, the Fitzpatricks
